Geraldine M. Reising nee Ferstel. Geraldine was born on Easter Sunday April 8, 1917 and passed to eternal life on December 1, 2017. Geraldine graduated valedictorian from both Immaculata High School in 1935 and Mundelein College (now Loyola University) in 1939, where she received a dual degree in Journalism and Economics. She was an active volunteer at St. Raymond School in Mt. Prospect and Holy Family Hospital in Des Plaines, where she delivered newspapers to the patients. Known to her friends as “Gerry” she was an avid bridge player and known to love a good whiskey sour. Beloved wife of 55 years of the late Joseph A. Reising, they met in April and wed in July clearly meant for each other and their devotion was evident to family and friends. Loving mother of Joseph A. Jr., William (Mary), Donald (Marie) and Lauretta (Bruce) Letten; proud grandmother of Julie, Diana, Joseph, Matthew, Michael, James, Claire, Will, John and the late Timothy; beloved great grandmother of Michael, Patrick, Caitlin, Lillian and Brooks; who referred to her as “GGG”; dear sister of the late Marie Sokal, William and James Ferstel.

Visitation Thursday December 7, 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass 10:00 a.m. at St. Raymond de Penafort Church, Elmhurst Rd., (Rt. 83) & Lincoln St., Mt. Prospect, IL 60056.

Entombment All Saints Mausoleum.
